YCAS Sky Shows. The York County Astronomical Society is proud to present a series of public talks which will help people learn how to identify the stars and planets that are up in the nighttime skies. These shows will teach the basics of using star charts and tell some of the fascinating mythology and stories that are associated with the stars and constellations visible in the evening sky. Learn how to find your way around in the nighttime sky and some of the fascinating objects that can be seen in it. Each show will deal with a different set of constellations and stars. The shows will be held only if clear at the Rudy Park Observatory in York. If it is clear, there will be observing with the club's telescopes after the presentation where you can put into practice the information you have just learned.
