        FAQ: How much is the membership and what are the benefits?

Membership in The YORK COUNTY ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY is $10 for Students, $20 for a single person membership, or $30 for Single family Household membership per year and includes:

  • 12 monthly issues of the YCAS newsletter, the “SPECTRUM ONLINE”

  • Access to  the Observatory and telescopes.

  • Free Planetarium shows to YCAS members.

  • Membership in The Astronomical League, The benefits of ALCOR , a national association of astronomy clubs.

Formed in 1989, the non-profit York County Astronomical Society aims to promote interest, public education, and advancement of the science of astronomy. In addition to planetarium shows, the society presents regular public sky watches and astronomy classes.
